The 58 MW BAYASOL photovoltaic plant, built in Matanzas (Dominican Republic), was inaugurated last May 13th. HIDROSTANK supplied its innovative reinforced polypropylene modular access chambers, that enable the contractor to do the civil works faster.
The plant was completed on time despite the difficulties of the pandemic. The project has an investment of approximately US$ 60 million and a nominal power for grid injection of 50 megawatts, equivalent to the energy needed to light approximately 26,000 Dominican homes, said Juan Ignacio Rubiolo, president for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean of AES Corporation.
HIDROSTANK has worked closely with the technicians of the awarded EPC, TSK, to define the best solution for the electrical & telecommunications (CCTV) ducting.
For several years, HIDROSTANK has been collaborating in the execution of solar and solar plants, where the characteristics and advantages of its modulas cable pullboxes (its easy handling and installation, together with its great resistance) enable to fulfil, and in some cases shorten, the demanding deadlines of execution.
This project joins the numerous projects already carried out in LATAM, EUROPE, AFRICA and the MIDDLE EAST.
