HIDROSTANK SUPPLIES ITS HIDROBOX ATTENUATION CRATES iN THE FIRST GREEN PEDESTRIAN CROSSING OF PAMPLONA, NAVARRA (SPAIN)

HIDROSTANK has supplied its HIDROBOX attenuation crates (also known as Storm Cells, Soakaway Modules, and StormCrates) in the first ‘green’ pedestrian crossing in Pamplona (Navarra, Spain), a new sustainable proposal that also improves pedestrian safety. In response to the need to eliminate visual obstacles in the five metres before pedestrian crossings, Pamplona City Council has launched the first ‘green’ pedestrian crossing, a sustainable proposal that consists of creating a landscaped area in the space that would be occupied by the parking spaces before the crossings. This initiative guarantees pedestrian safety by increasing visibility at crossings and calming traffic, and enhances the value of this space gained from the car for pedestrian enjoyment and the improvement of urban quality. The ‘green model’ pedestrian crossing provides a nature-based solution to climate change adaptation by integrating a sustainable urban drainage system (SUDS) provided by a small non-irrigated garden. This ensures that rainwater is filtered into the ground, favouring its natural cycle and cleaning it before it returns to the aquifer, and prevents flooding by reducing runoff at times of heavy rainfall, which is becoming more frequent due to climate change. It also increases urban green space and its ability to cool the environment, which benefits people’s health and prevents the urban ‘heat island’ effect. HIDROSTANK has worked closely wi

HIDROSTANK MANHOLES AT SAUDI ARABIA’S FIRST WIND FARM

HIDROSTANK has recently supplied its innovative modular pullboxes at the Dumat Al Jandal wind farm, the first wind farm in Saudi Arabia and the largest in the Middle East when completed. The project has marked a key construction milestone with the arrival of 20 wind turbines at the port of Duba. The 400 megawatt MW wind power project is being developed by a consortium of EDF Renewables and Masdar. Construction began last August and commercial operations will start in the first quarter of 2022. HIDROSTANK have worked closely with the technicians of TSK, the awarded EPC, to define the best solution for the electrical &  telecommunication ducting access chambers. The Dumat Al Jandal wind farm will supply electricity under a 20-year power purchase agreement with Saudi Power Procurement Company, a subsidiary of Saudi Electricity Company, the Saudi power generation and distribution company. For several years, HIDROSTANK has been collaborating in the execution of photovoltaic, thermosolar and wind power plants, where the advantages of its cable pits (easy transport, handling and installation, combined with their high resistance) make it possible to meet, and in some cases shorten, the demanding execution deadlines. This project in Saudi Arabia joins the numerous projects already carried out in MIDDLE EAST as well as in EUROPE, LATAM, AFRICA and ASIA.

HIDROSTANK: new composite covers, ideal for 5G deployments

HIDROSTANK has just launched its new composite lids of its own manufacture The HIDROSTANK composite covers, EN124 B125 resistanct, offer numerous advantages versus traditional cast iron covers, such as Do not block the radio signal. The new HIDROSTANK composite covers allow the radio frequency signal to pass through, so that operators can easily install underground antennas to improve urban coverage. This makes them an ideal solution for 5G deployments* Electrical and temperature insulation No corrosion problems Less noise Solves theft problems   ACCESS CHAMBER REFERENCE Frame external dimensions (mm) Cover/s (mm) Model A58x58 648×648 633x633x19 AAG126x58 1286×648 (2) 633x633x19 A58x45 642×507 633x495x54 L1T AAG90x58 1004×642 (2) 633x495x54 ½ L4T AAG123x45 1278×507 (2) 633x495x54 L2T AAG135x58 1501×642 (3) 633x495x54 L3T AAG 194×58 1995×642 (4) 633x495x54 L4T Should you require more information please do not hesitate to contact to us.   *Current telecoms infrastructure needs to ramp up to address the forecasted tenfold growth in global mobile data traffic (by 2021). This is driving the requirement for increased mobile network densification and small cells. So, operators require more site options, which, in turn, create site acquisition challenges. Site approvals for locations in dense urban environments are getting increasingly difficult. Meanwhile, the requirements for camouflage and multi-application sites are continuously

PAS-type weir screens at the Aranjuez WWTP

HIDROSTANK has recently supplied its PAS-type weir screens at the WWTP in Aranjuez, Madrid.   Although the theoretical capacity of the original Aranjuez WWTP had not been exceeded in terms of flows, the increased pollutant load with respect to the design scenario and the more stringent requirements, made it impossible for the existing plant to achieve compliance.   As a result, Canal de Isabel II decided to undertake the necessary actions to ensure compliance with the targets set in the National Water Quality Plan.     HIDROSTANK has worked closely with the technicians of both the promoter of the WWTP (Canal de Isabel II, S.A.) and the awarded joint venture (GS Inima-Asteisa) and the technical assistance of Técnicas Reunidas, in the definition of the solution finally adopted.   Hidrostank designs, manufactures and installs PA- type weir screens, one of which is installed at the Aranjuez WWTP. These screens have a high solids retention capacity and a simple, effective cleaning system. The screens feature a perforated grid of 5 or 6 mm in diameter, incorporating a pump that sends a jet of water through an ejector to keep the perforated grid clean. The pump has a cover that enables maintenance operations from the outside, differentiating the unit from competing products.   PAS type screens can be installed in new facilities or retrofitted to existing weirs. For retrofitting purposes, they can be dismounted through a single cover of 80×80 cm an
